Inspired by French composer Eric Satie, the Graylings created a body of work within the genre “Furnishing Music”- music meant to live in the background, a tone and color for a space while remaining just out of focus.

These compositions were derived from a couple different context but all seemed to embody the spirit of musique d'ameulement. A few were created and performed as live soundtrack for a Yin Yoga class were attendants guided through a long hold posture series and meditation. A couple were composition for independent film projects and others compositions were done to field recordings.
